yeah my source told me they played Regeneration for 4 hours straight in mid-June, but their reanimation attempt failed with Kurt only being able to sing the first line of the chorus of Half The Man, before collapsing again. Scott then vowed to never play Regeneration again.

OMG... I was at that show!  You all should check out the video of it on youtube. It's insane.  Just search "STP play Bush 3rd Term Fundraiser Show" . It was really great.  Axl Rose showed up and they did a cover duet of 'old friends' by simon & garfunkel.  I'll post pictures later.

Same with me. Too many people have said Christmas '09, so now I'm expecting it, even though I know I shouldn't be expecting an album before we even have a single.

I'm prepared to be disappointed, it wouldn't be the first time something I've been waiting for got postponed.

It would be nice if they'd say something about the status of the album I.E. How far along they are in the recording process, maybe say something official on how far they are from picking a single.

I don't know about this september thing... I mean, best case scenario they're gonna be finished mixing and recording by mid-to-late August, but I don't know if a month is enough time for Atlantic to get a single out the door with proper marketing et al.
