Release date of new album

read a comment on a site about the new album. apparently someone close to the band said the album should be out in may.

hawk, don't forget, i read it off some website, could be total bullshit, however someone talked to one of their roadies before the october tour, and they were right about no new material being played

i emailed edge102 (toronto) today, asked if they had any info on a single, i imagine they get word in advance about the date they will get it, and the reply i got was they haven't heard anything yet

Just cuz the album may come out in May doesn't mean they wouldnt play a new song or two in March...

According to HardDrive Radio, the shows producer Roxy Myzal will be attending a listening party on Tuesday night [2.23.10] and she will be one of the few lucky ones, hearing the entire album from Stone Temple Pilots for the first time...

"Tomorrow night, I will be attending a listening party for the new Stone Temple Pilots' album.  The band will be there, so I am looking forward to seeing them and finding out what else is in store for the band this year!  We are hearing a rumor they are putting together a festival of their own for the summer. Stay tuned!"

And several sites (including Spin.com) are stating the albums' release is in May. As a DJ, I think we'll see a single hitting rock radio in early April IF in fact the album comes out this May... I am beyond excited!

I think we're going to hear new STP sooner than we think we are.

I just like the fact that they have a new song called "Between the Lines". In any STP or Scott Weiland solo lyrics, you tend to see the same words used in the songs. When I first saw that song title I thought, "Sweet! It's a lyric from Interstate Love Song!" lol We'll just have to see what kind of sound it has!
