Yeah I just want to see them all over the place.  With the reunion tour all they did was Jimmy Kimmel.  I want to see them on every late night show and all the awards shows and shit for the 6th album promotion.  I really hope they do some V-logs in 2009 while they work on the new album to keep us occupied and to remind ignorant reporters that they have not broken up.

they did leno also...
No they didn't.
Yeah I was gonna say...how the hell did I miss that??
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

i think it may be a while for scott to want to do anything. his album being out and thinking that that is his release from stp. but i have been wrong before. i just hope that when they tour again they come to smaller arenas. i wish theyd come to the quad cities.

I don't wanna get off-topic, but there's no way Pearl Jam has "faded." They're still really big right now. Sure, they're not on MTV and stuff but they still play huge venues and sell them all out.

Agreed.

If anything, they have more of a Grateful Dead following.

Yes. Greatful Dead-esque indeed.

I can't believe it's been 8 years since SLDD was released.  I can't wait for new STP material.  I can't say I just want to hear a bunch of radio hits, but at the same time I want them to be relevant again.  A lot of my favorite STP songs don't fall into their greatest hits list, but I probably never would've heard tracks like Still Remains or Adhesive without the hits like Plush or ILS.  There probably won't be a new generation of STP fans if they put out Happy in Galoshes 2.

It's really amazing that we have all stuck around all these years......they've never really done much for the fans.  I knew the pick a setlist thing was too good to be true.  Or maybe it was just a coincidence that every town picked the same songs.    :-    It doesn't matter though, I keep coming back for more.  I'll be getting #6 as soon as it's released.  When I'm 60 I'll still be wondering when the live dvd is coming out.

Be thankful Scott Weiland is alive, STP easily could have ended up like Alice In Chains.

All I'm hoping for is we don't get a Zeitgeist from them..... What a lame album.

Could you imagine if it was just Scott and Eric writing the songs?

Everything would just sound like Tumble in the Rough.

It's not Jimmy's comeback.  He played drums on MACHINA from 2000 and he also played in Zwan with Billy Corgan and their album in 2003.  Zeitgeist only had like 3 memorable songs, the rest are crap.  It sounds very uninspired and Corgan's vocal performance is abysmal, the worst of his career.

Seriously, I bought the album before hearing anything because there was so much hype about it. And the only song I thought was decent was Tarantula(s). I can't remember if it's plural or not. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

It's not like it was even a Smashing Pumpkins record. It was Billy and Jimmy, who like Brett mentioned were also part of Zwan, and I'm not sure if Jimmy played on Billy's solo album. He could have just called it Zwan and it wouldn't make a difference. It's like Velvet Revolver without Weiland. They couldn't even get Melissa auf der Maur to play on it.
