I'm so obsessed with Scary Area it's sick.

Well it's a super.  Scary.  Super.  Scary.  Area.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

My current MJY obsession is Dirty Daaaawg... I want to hear a 2008 version.. b-side.. oh how sweet that would be.

Is it Scott that says at about 50 sec left "a funky doggy" ... that's just plain bad ass.  Oh.. and who is the female singing at the end of the track??

Probably just a coincidence, but I noticed that the beginning of “Spanish Flies” sounds similar to “American Man” on Libertad.  Also, how about that yodeling at the end of “Don’t Drop that Dime”……….”Old Dixie” anyone? :)

Me want the studio version of "Only Dying"!

This song would be assume if it was rerecorded and released.  Most of the fans and all the general public has never heard it.

Actually, they don't even need to re-record it.  It was laid down for "The Crow" movie and then was replaced after Brandon Lee died.

The actual finished master is lying around in some studio storage room.  Let it see the light of day!

Only Dying is a bad ass song. Not sure if his current voice could carry it though. It would have to be the core style of voice.
If you give a man a fire, you keep him warm for a night. But if you SET a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

For some reason MJY always reminds me of really old chili peppers....Its fun to listen to MJY and think that STP came from the same group of guys.

I always thought the exact same thing! The bass line in most of those tracks is very strong and sort of funk rythmic. I actually like the Wicked Garden and Where the River Goes demos more than the studio track... somehow the messier demos sound more legit for the content of those songs.
