I hope this makes it on the second solo album. Does anyone know if Scott is still planning to work on an album with Tim McGraw? I think this was supposed to be one of the songs Scott wrote for him. I could be mistaken.

i watched an interview on you tube and scott said there was going to be country on his solo album

Pretty sure that this was inspired by Scott meeting Tim McGraw during the recording of the "Across The Universe" artist collaboration event on Vh1 or MTV or whatever crap music stating aired it.

Messages doesn't sound like a country song to me at all. But anyways I actually like The Man I didn't Know and I hate country music..I also dislike Don't Drop that Dime.

There is a very small clip of it on the softdrive site.  However, I think it only sounds decent compared to the very raw and emotional sounding song he sang on Carson.  Still, can't wait to hear the studio version.  In addition, I would love it if he sang one or two of these solo songs during a STP tour after the album comes out.  I've seen Dave Matthews do the same thing, with his band backing him.
