Great choices, peronim. "Transmissions..." is a big favourite of mine too.

B-side or cover? I'm not familiar with this tune.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

It's a lovely piece by Dean from the collection "Sing A Song With Six Strings". You can hear/get it here:

Reunited rockers promise to play the hits

Published: April 18, 2008 at 3:28 PM

LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- Reunited U.S. rockers Stone Temple Pilots plan crowd-pleasing shows for their upcoming tour.

"I think we could've done a new record or new songs," says bassist Robert DeLeo, "but how many times do you go to a show and you want to hear the songs you're familiar with, and then when that new song comes up, that's when you go grab a beer.

"I think new material will come probably after this tour, but I think we're mostly getting back to the stuff we know and the things that got us together in the first place."

STP has been apart for 10 years, while singer Scott Weiland has fronted the band Velvet Revolver and DeLeo and his brother, guitarist Dean DeLeo, have produced other acts.

The STP reunion tour kicks off May 17 at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, and is due to wrap up at the end of August, after which Robert DeLeo thinks the quartet will concentrate on new material.

Although I don't have a specific 'full' dream setlist...I would definitely like to hear them play Adhesive.  As far as I know, it's never been played live.  Correct me if I'm wrong but it's such a great song.  I'd like to hear almost anything off of Shangri-La Dee Da as well.

Let's see...

Press play going into Pop Love's Suicide
Meatplow
Silvergun Superman
Sin
Coma
Pruno
Down
Piece of Pie

*Acoustic Set*
Big Empty
Interstate Love Song
Plush
Sour Girl
Wonderful

Glide
Big Bang Baby
Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart
Where the River Goes

*Encore*
All in the Suit That You Wear
Long Way Home
Sex Type Thing

It'll never happen, but it'd be a great set.

New Stone Temple Pilots live song
« Reply #53 on: May 09, 2008, 10:29:07 PM »
Personally I would love to see them add a couple of these song into their setlists.  I love when they throw a song in their that no one expects.  I saw them back in 2002 at the trump marina in Atlantic City NJ and they played Regeneration!  It was the best part of the night because they have only played it twice and it seemed like they enjoyed it more than playing Plush or STT for the 300000 time.  Anyway I'm interested to see what song you would like to see them add to their live catalog.  I chose ADHESIVE!!!!!!!!

Using Dumb Love to open the show would be great

Of those, I would chose Glide. But aren't there a lot more that haven't been played live? Or am I mistaken?

A lot of songs they have only played a couple of times.  Regeneration, I Got You, Heavens and Hotrods, Bi Polar Bear etc..  have been played either once or twice.  I think I have all the songs they haven't played live.
