I love these gys and love there new cd, I can understand (well sort of) whyd they play nothing off of Shangri, but limited Tiny Music to one tune is just sad

I think it would be cool if they had a rotating setlist with some songs (Plush, ILS, new ones) being played every night and others being rotated with other songs. That way there would be more songs added and you wouldn't know what you were going to get. Could be something like Tumble one night, No Way Out the next. Just my 2 cents.

Exactly what I say, keep 14 songs on a nightly basis the same, then switch up the other four every night. Would make it much more exciting when you do not have the setlist memorized. Can you picture them blasting into Naked Sunday out of nowhere? I would be going fucking crazy.

So the dream I had where they played Atlanta finally gave me the incentive to make my own dream set list.  I've been meaning to do this for quite some time.

1: Dead and Bloated
2:Peacoat
4: Meatplow
5: Unglued
6: Coma
7: Plush
8: Interstate
9:Daisy (while they bring out acoustics)
10: Dancin Days
11: Seven Caged Tigers
12: Sin (I want so badly to see unplugged that I'll throw the acoustic in here)
13: A Song For Sleeping
14: Atlanta
No Memory played while they switch back to regular gear
15: Piece of Pie
16: Silvergun Superman
17: Lounge Fly
18: Hazy Daze
ENCORE BREAK
19: Adhesive
20: No Way Out
21: Sex Type Thing
22: Trippin

I've always wanted to see them open a show with Dead and Bloated as an opener. It Opened their first album and I can just picture the lights dimming, everyone getting quiet and then all of a sudden   "I AM SMELLIN LIKE A ROSE THAT SOMEBODY GAVE ME ON MY BIRTHDAY DEATHBED"  Then they walk out, the second line and bust into their set!!!

My dream setlist would consist of all albums played, one after another with intermissons between them, along with the odd non album tune put in there ... a 3 hour show should do it

Cheyyyyyyah. Sucks that the only local show for me is at some crappy festival with Cheap Trick put on by 107.7 The Bone. I'd love to go but 60 bucks, ehhh. Probably going to play their abbreviated setlist. Of course if I don't go Scott's going to end up singing Surrender with them or something stupid that will never be seen again. :(

This is actually a really good setlist - I like the opening Dead and then Adhesive after encore.  I'd maybe take out peacoat and hazy daze but that's me.  Otherwise this would be pretty dope!

Your Dream Stone Temple Pilots Setlist
« Reply #563 on: July 14, 2011, 08:03:38 AM »
What would be your dream STP setlist? To me, the perfect setlist would have between 22 and 24 songs, and it would have to begin and end perfectly. With that in mind, here's my dream setlist. Let me know what you think!

Vasoline
Wicked Garden
Between The Lines
Big Bang Baby
Sex Type Thing
Church On Tuesday
Huckleberry Crumble
Sour Girl
Hollywood Bitch
Still Remains
And So I Know
Days Of The Week
Take A Load Off
Silvergun Superman
Crackerman
Lady Picture Show
A Song For Sleeping
Dare If You Dare
Down
Interstate Love Song
Plush

Encore:
Dead and Bloated
Big Empty
Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart

I tried to make sure each album was well-represented! :)

We're doing another fantasy set discussion, are we?

How about:

Meatplow
Wicked  Garden
Vasoline
Lounge  Fly
Army Ants
Between the Lines
Hickory  Dichotomy
Still  Remains
Cinnamon
Big  Empty
Pretty  Penny
Silvergun Superman
Plush
Interstate  Love Song
Huckleberry  Crumble
Seven  Caged Tigers

Sex  Type Thing

Encore:
Kitchenware  & Candybars
