As much as Aerosmith has become pretty static the past few years, there is one thing they do well. Before each show, they compare set lists of the past 2-3 times for each city and try to work up something new.
6/4/08 - Detroit, MI - The Fillmore (Red Wings win the Cup); 7/7/09 - Lansing, MI - Common Ground Festival; 8/19/10 - Grand Rapids, MI - Deltaplex; 8/26/10 - Detroit, MI - Fox Theatre; 4/20/11 - Detroit, MI - The Fillmore; 8/18/12 - Pontiac, MI - Silverdome

I'm going to see Aerosmith for the 8th time in August. I know I'll hear the older classics and most of the Geffen hits, but I know they will throw in a nugget like Lord of the Thighs, Kings or Queens, or maybe Rats in the Celler. Knowing that I will ATLEAST hear two, maybe three gems makes it more inticing to me to see them then seeing STP.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Wow.
To have seen that heaven & hotrods was the opener for the past few nights, just shatters the concept of impossible for me. particularly after having heard that they had been sound checking th song earlier in the year, and getting a 'don't expect to hear it' answer from DDeleo..

I hope to try to catch one of the upcoming tour dates.
i feel so out of the loop as i havent posted in so long!

How great could be a setlist made ONLY of SLDD and the new album songs?
Seems like you left me when you broke down

Some gripes I have.

Why have they repalced "Dare .." with a jam? Throw in Bagman, FKOM, FAIC Peacoat instead of a jam.

WIsh they would use a new tune to start the show, maybe even 2 back to back. My choice for the first tune would be Hazy Daze.

Um, that is all.

I think with all the jamming, it's replaced "Dare..." I'm cool with it though, I haven't heard them jam too often before.

The setlist looks pretty solid.  More than I expected.  Wish they'd do an Los Angeles area date.

The stelist is sold, but no need to sacrifice a tune from the new album for a jam.

I for one really like the new album and easily would take any tune from it instead of a jam.  They could play Bagman with an extended ending that turn into a jam.

No - you hit the nail on the head when you said it should be "Peacoat."  I have NO IDEA why they aren't playing it live - they can't use the "too high in Scott's register" excuse - and Weiland would KILLLLLLL that song live.

"I love you more in thoooooose dirrrty clothes...."  Dammit.  Have your people get a hold of his people - he should be listening to you.  :)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!
