Last year, everybody heard that the DeLeos knew more songs than they would be able to play, but it was somebody else in the band that wasn't showing up for rehearsals.

I think there's at least one member who's heart isn't completely in the band.

thank u andrew and as much as this may piss anyone else off Scott did retired his hard rock career with VR
I'm not trying to sound naive, but do you really think he has? I mean yes, his stage presence has significantly changed since 2007 and Happy In Galoshes wasn't very rocking, but I don't think that necessarily means that Scott has "retired" his hard rock career...
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

He's touring with STP and they will have a new record out sometime in the first few months of 2010.  He has not retired his hard rock career, he's just not as crazy on stage as he used to be and he stopped wearing that stupid fucking Nazi hat.

no i just mean his focus, that fire isn't there anymore and the only time i see it is when i watch solo shows, and this also has nothing to do with him being physical on stage. things get done with that stuff, we got little videos silly contests and all sorts of info on things and the fans were well informed.
If you only knew..

That's management stuff, Softdrive understand the internet, STP's clueless management have never heard of it.

haha oh come on, they're old but they're not THAT old. i just think the whole internet thing has more to do with promotion than anything. STP doesn't really need promotion, they're one of the biggest bands of the 90s everyone's heard of them. it makes more sense that softdrive, an up and coming label that not nearly as many people have heard about has turned to the internet to market themselves. it'd be weird if STP did things like Webisodes. don't get me wrong i'd love to see it but it'd just be awkward.

and on the other issue which im not sure why is still up for debate....

Scott's mind.....

STP -  $$$
Solo -   :)

not that he doesnt still enjoy playing with STP but he clearly is enjoying his solo career a whole lot more at this point, which is perfectly fine and understandable by me
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

It seems everybody gets all freaked out when a 90's band reunites and then they wonder why they just aren't the same on stage. I've seen this way to much... what with rage coming back and rumors of a Soundgarden tour next summer. If you look closely at the tour schedule, you'll notice the band has a nice break between 11/21 and 12/29 i could see them putting  the finishing touches on the record as they all work separately, and releasing it around Christmas. Or early January. I'm sure the new record will be just what we always wanted. The key here is epic patience.  ;D

Im just glad that they are still together, new cd is coming ot & they are on tour. I don't really care that they play the same songs. As someone who never got to see them till last year, I'll take whatever they wanna do. Im not gonna bitch. If you aren't hrilled with the set list DONT GO TO THE SHOW!!! You have a choice, no one is making you go.

I'll see them over & over no matter what so It's not a issue for me.
