It says Dream Setlist, so not many hits for me. I have never been a hits fan, bring me the unknowns, and heavy on the jams and improv.

Looking back at their previous tours, especially for No. 4 and Shangri-La, I never liked how short their sets were. It seemed like the band consciously decided to stick to the radio hits and the harder stuff. I hope they go back to the type of shows they did in support of Tiny Music. You really got your money's worth back then with a 25 song setlist and a good mix of songs from all their albums. With a 25 song setlist they'd be able to play 5 songs from each of their albums.

Here's my dream setlist:

1. Coma
2. Vasoline
3. Wicked Garden
4. Crackerman
5. Pop's Love Suicide
6. Lounge Fly
7. Bi-Polar Bear
8. Army Ants
9. Lady Picture Show
10. Big Bang Baby

(Acoustic)
11. Atlanta
12. Hello, It's Late
13. Adhesive
14. Seven Caged Tigers

15. No Memory (intro into) Sin
16. No Way Out
17. Big Empty
18. Plush
19. Interstate Love Song
20. Piece of Pie
21. Trippin'
22. Sex & Violence

23. Dead & Bloated
24. Down
25. Sex Type Thing

I tried to incorporate some of the lesser played stuff with the obvious stuff. It would be fucking unbelievable if STP could play this kind of setlist on a regular basis, of course mixing it up and substituting some of the lesser known stuff from show to show. But the above setlist is what I'd prefer (at the moment).

They'll most likely have a core group of songs that are goin' to be played at every show ("Plush" and "Interstate Love Song" among them), then throw in a nugget for the fans here and there..

So would the Talk Show album.

In all fairness, neither album was terrible. However, both would sound completely different - and better - with Scott's writing and vocals.

I love Dead and Bloated as an opener! All in all a great set, but unfortunately unrealistic. We can always dream...

I admit, there are a few songs I can tolerate. But it suffered similar backlash to Scott's solo album because it didn't sound like STP. That's why I was initially turned off. (I was 16 or 17 at the time so I didn't know any better) However, 12 Bar Blues REALLY grew on me much more then the Talk Show album ever did.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

yeah this is pretty awesome .... i figure if a typical set is between 18-22 songs, we'll get a standard 10-12 of the 'big hits', with  some lesser-known gems thrown in for diehards like us! this is why i must go to more than one show this summer.
and in the eyes of a jackal i say ka-BOOM.

Well said and a great set too.

I'll just copy mine from the official board. Similar idea to yours, Jim - it has an equal mix of 5 tracks from each album plus 5 extras. This is to represent the band + Brendan who first appears on keys for “Adhesive”, plays either guitar or keys throughout the acoustic set, and comes back on keys for “Where The River Goes”....a guy can dream, huh?!

Down
Coma
Vasoline
Naked Sunday
Adhesive
Regeneration
Art School Girl
No Way Out (+ extended jam)
……………………
(Acoustic Set)
Once Upon A Tribe
Bi-Polar Bear
Sour Girl
Samba Nova
Hello, It’s Late
I Got You
And So I Know/ Press Play (jam)
……………………
Wicked Garden
Transmissions…
Still Remains
You Can’t Drive Me Away (rockier, choppy guitar version)
Piece Of Pie
ILS
Trippin’…
Sex Type Thing
……………………
(Encore 1)
MC5
Silvergun Superman
Only Dying
……………………
(Encore 2)
Army Ants
All In The Suit…
Where The River Goes

I know it won't be to everyone's tastes, but it does flow well I think.

Pick-A-Set is an awesome thing in theory, but based on the popularity rankings, it seems to have been hijacked by a bunch of tools who don't see to be aware Number 4 and Shangri-La exist.
If people want two hours straight of nothing but the greatest hits, I highly recommend they spend $20 on the Thank You DVD.

Dead and Bloated either needs to start the show or be the first song coming out for the encore.
