An AoA reunion would be good if it was done comedic and they totally overhyped it as being bigger than Jesus.

I LOVE STP but I think that VR put on a better live show...Scott was different on stage with VR than he was with STP.  VR show was much more energized...due to the music..but after seeing both I would rather see VR live than STP.

I disagree completely, but to each his own.

In all honesty, I liked VR and AOA a lot. Not as much as STP, but a lot. Scott will never go back though becuase VR was just a fling. It's over for good.

When Scott fights with Dean or Robert, there's enough history and true friendship underneath the service that they're like a family. They might fight, but time will heal their wounds. With Scott and Slash/Sorum there is no such history, therefore when they fight, there is no emotion involved. Just anger. Those wounds don't heal.

Whether you like them or not, you have to admit VR put on some good shows.

AOA, I had meet and greet passes for a show in Sparks, Nv in Feb of '07. They cancelled and never made up the date. Therefore I am declaring they are the worst live act, EVER.

STP is still the best though!

VR was a good live band, I enjoyed seeing them in 2006 (not in 2007 though) I just don't think they were as good as STP is live.

I don't know, 1999/2000 STP is a hard act to beat live. You can tell there was a shitload of energy at those shows.

I want to see STP as much as possible before I die, but I want to see AoA live as well, or at least another STP/Filter concert.

i'm going to have to disagree with the post in reference to angst and 40 year olds. just because you're a certain age doesnt mean that you can't feel a certain way. I really liked how Vr came across in their lyrics, and that was probably what i liked best about them. It went beyond genre and generation and just spoke and realted on a human level of pain and conflict withing oneself.  It was different than stp, althought stp do deal with the same themes in their lyrics.. However, it wasn't re-hash of the same-old same-old. Sure they might not have sold out festivals or won tons of grammy's [which really counts for NOTHING], but I still consider them one of the better bands of 2000, lyrically and sonically.

I didn't get to see STP live in the 90's...I am basing it on the show I went to in MAY which was one of the 1st stops on the tour.  I have seen VR probably 6 or 7 times and they we always great! Stp was good at that show but I have 7 VR shows to compare it to.

I  miss VR, yes, and I miss it so bad, but I'm not sure about a come back, it's not the moment and it's not the moment to leave STP... if I wanna see VR together again? yes, sure... as much as most of you wanted to see STP... but I don't know... ::)

Now, we are comparing both bands when they are completely different, one point in common: Scott , but we can't compare them just because of that, Scott is other person in every band...
