You'll be waiting a awfully long time to "laugh". Like an eternity.

And if you can read my post I said YOU confused Cream with Derek and the Domino's and Blind Faith.
YOU called Cream a "supergroup". They were not.

I'm sure at some point down the line Scott will be on stage w/ one if not all of VR.  Assuming he's still alive.  I doubt a full reunion would happen, though.  Maybe for a song / soundtrack but that's about it.  But I can see Scott and Slash working together on music in the future in some capacity.

I completely agree with Peebs and JugeSTP.  A very good point was made in Page 5 that STP had many successful records while VR had 1 successful record.  STP had 3 multiplatinum records and a platinum record in the 90s.  Sure SLDD bombed, but they had already had 4 major album and it was a gradual drop in sales.  Libertad sold like 300,000 to this point total in the US compared to Contraband which sold 2 million.  Velvet Revolver were a flash in the pan (not that I didn't enjoy it while it lasted) while Stone Temple Pilots are an important band in rock history.  Scott is where he belongs and the Velvet Revolver phase is over for him.

Velvet Revolver with Scott will most likely never come back imo, there's just no incentive I can really think of.  It's not like they made any landmark groundbreaking music together so I doubt Scott would be enticed to do it for artistic reasons, there also was always a distance between the band and Scott.  Also Scott and Sorum hate each other and Slash still makes snide remarks about him so Scott wouldn't do it because he misses them (the STP break up had barely any harash words said, the most the DeLeos said was that Scott kept fucking up and they were tired of waiting for him to get his shit together, but Dean said in that same interview "I love making music with the guy, he's the best" while VR have called Scott a MISTAKE in recent months) , and like I've said a million times in this thread the money probably wouldn't be enough since Velvet Revolver don't warrant a big high priced reunion.  I don't want it to happen, and I don't think it'll ever happen.  It would just make 0 sense.

nothin bret

The binges, the arrests, the pimp hats -- Scott Weiland has lived dangerously for much of the past two decades. But the man can safely claim to be one of the most successful artists of the past 20 years, pushing 35 million records worldwide as frontman for grunge-era scene-stealers Stone Temple Pilots and supergroup Velvet Revolver. Following the latter's implosion in March, Weiland's back with STP, and on November 25, he releases his second solo album, "Happy" in Galoshes (New West). He's also not ruling out a Velvet Revolver reunion. "Slash and I always got on pretty well," he says. "So who knows?"

Velvet Revolver was the BEST BAND of the last 10 years.
Here were 5 guys that had a chance to do something amazing and change the course of rock music, but they couldn't hold it together long enough. Now they're just another break up story for MTV news and it's all bullshit.
They need to man up and work their differences out. I love STP to death, they're one of my all time favorites, but they don't hold a candle to the potential Velvet Revolver has.
Stone Temple Pilots are past their prime, and trust me, I take no joy in saying that.
Luckily VR is still here. Stop looking for another singer, just hug it out and make more records.
