although scott sings it much better

Not sure if its correct but I remember reading somewhere that its "steel traps, mud flaps, dust blowin in my eyes...". Could very well be something else though.

I seriously just cringed when you posted that.  Because, honestly, I'm not so sure what he says there.

I always sing: "Can't live, can't buy new shoes...tumble in the rough...left in the summer with new shoes... tumble in the rough."   If that's not right, I'm sure I'll be embarassed to tears.

I have an official tab-book which has lyrics.  Just checked it (I knew I read these somewhere at some point!) and these are the ones listed:

Sun cracks/Mud flaps/Dust blowin in my eyes/I'm a roamin...

So that one I'm sure about.  The "new shoes" stuff.  Eh... maybe not so much.
