Well, I guess I'm in the minority here, but I didn't like the interviewer at all.  It's ok to ask Scott about his personal life but he dwelled on it way too much.  It made me think of a scene from the "Wedding Singer":

Glenn's buddy: Robbie Hart? Oh, man, I heard what happened to you at your wedding, that was so cold! You must've felt like shit!
Robbie (Adam Sandler): No, it felt real good, thanks for bringing that up, man. Hey, my parents died when I was ten, would you like to talk about that?
Glenn's buddy: No, why would I wanna talk about that?
Robbie: I don't know.

Scott can be Adam Sandler's character and the WBCN guy can be Glenn's buddy if you get my drift.

Hahaha Thats a great scene! I kinda hear ya about the interviewer, but I think he dwelled because hes also a former addict.  Overall, its a good interview though.
STP: A bunch.

I do see what you mean.  However, I think this is a far cry from the interview with the LA Times reporter that pressed Scott to the point of hockin' up a loogie on the wall.  After that, the interviews stopped.
They sell their words but it\'s all a lie . . .

Scott always looks so miserable these days, he needs to get off the bi polar meds,   Thank god he's still alive though.

You'd be miserable too if you were trudging through a divorce and your brother died.  I guarantee it.

In 2000 he was on an upswing.  I hope he stays on the meds.  They may be largely responsible for him being alive.
I know I would be but this is by far the saddest he's ever been and he's been through a lot of shit.  I just want give him a hug or something and then watch Old School with him.

Yeah, Scott needs a hug. And not one from that disgusting succubus-mutt thing-a-ma-jigg. What's it's name? Paz?

I'm gonna get him chewing gum for christmas.
Back for another one

I listened to the interview prior to going into the show.  I thought it was handled well.  As the interviewer (Hardy) said, he also suffered from addiction and I'm pretty sure he had interviewed Scott before so he was able to go into that territory.  Kudos to Scott for being that open with us.

KROQ Interview
« Reply #205 on: December 19, 2008, 01:41:14 AM »
There's a scott interview over at Kroq.com from last weekend's show.  He just seems really slow.  Can't seem to get a sentence out.  Feel sorry for the guy.  Hope he doesn't become Ozzy.

the last few interviews i have seen with him have gone like this..

So i was....uhhhh....ummmm.....uhhhhhh going to uhhhhhh.....uhhhhh the uhhhhhh...studio and we.......uhhh.....uhhhhh....worked......well....kind of....uhhhh...uhhhhhh

Fucking crackhead. It's really sad to watch past interviews where he was so spirited, and now he's just a braindead wreck.

Clean yourself up Scott. and stick with it for once.

Because he speaks like that doesn't mean he's on drugs.  He's spoken like this since at least 2001 (before SLDD came out, when I saw him on a MuchMusic interview).

I think his bi-polar disorder and the drugs he's taken in the past have contributed to his way of speaking.
