Scott said he was very close with his brother and he was devastated. He said he had to go and identify his body. Howard asked if he overdosed. Scott said he believes that he died of a broken heart.

Medically, he's fine. But for some strange reason, we're losing him. He's lost the will to live.

Just how did you come up with that one, Einstein??

He was talking about his BROTHER dying of a broken heart.  Not himself.   ::)

Umm, that's a quote from Star Wars. Basically he's making fun of Scott saying his brother died of a broken heart and apparently doesn't get what Scott is saying.

so how much of a star wars geek does it make me that i recognized that line immediately?

Scott on the Kevin and Bean Show (KROQ L.A.)
« Reply #121 on: November 24, 2008, 05:47:01 PM »
Scott is on Kevin and Bean right now.  He was supposed to be in studio, but his alarm didn't go off in time so he's calling in on the way there.

If you miss it now you can alway give it a listen a little later @ http://www.kroq.com.  Click on "Kevin and Bean" and it should be under "Podcast" for the morning show of 11/24/2008.

Enjoy

Really didn't say much....Seemed to be a bit more jumpy than usual.  Although, it sounds like it'll be a cool night in Hollywood tonite.

Scott on xtreme radio
« Reply #123 on: November 25, 2008, 01:40:28 AM »
I was looking at Scott's myspace page & it says tomorrow night 10pm EST 7pm PST) Scott's going to be playing what he wants. Dont know if its a hour or more worth. BUt he will be in town for his cd release party so hes stopping by beforehand to spin some tunes.

you can listen live at:

xtremeradio.com

so check it out if you're not in Vegas & are by your computers. Should be great. I wanna hear what he plays. Im guessing some Bowie, maybe even his version of Fame...

Im debating if I should go to the studio, its 5 minutes from my apt. I just dont want to look like a stalker cuz I'll be at the party later on too. not the impression I want to give at all! If I wasn't going to the party I'd be there i na second. What do you guys think? Too much Mel for Scott in one day??

Weiland takes over WKRK Cleveland tonight
« Reply #130 on: November 25, 2008, 03:10:54 PM »
Yesterday while driving home from work, my mother (OrangeCrushMama) heard a commercial on 92.3 WKRK Cleveland announcing that Scott Weiland would be "taking over the KROCK airwaves" at 10 PM (EST) tonight, 11/25/08.

I spent quite some time on their website this morning trying to find something to either confirm or deny this - but came up with nothing. I sent an e-mail to a few of the DJ's and heard back from one already this morning:

Quote
Hi Jessie....Mom's not lying....tonight at 10, he'll be doing a special regarding his solo CD that is out today....I think it's an hour long!!!  yay!

Everyone should be able to listen online at the link below:

KROCK Cleveland

Hopefully someone will be able to record this one -- I know I have a time conflict (series finale of The Shield tonight!) that I just simply cannot avoid.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

thanks for posting that. Cool interview. He didn't sound too bad and it gave me a couple chuckles. Kind of discouraging hearing him say that he's done with the whole band thing. I wonder if STP will have another album.

It all depends on a label named Atlantic.

He sounds good. Thanks for adding that. I needed to hear him sound normal! I loved hearing him talk a little about football. Since I'm a HUGE college football fan myself!! Roll Tide!!!!!
