AND THEY PLAYED "MOUNTAIN SONG" FROM JANE'S ADDICTION!!! SCOTT RIPPED THAT SONG APART!!

Thanks for clarifying that. I couldn't read the setlist upside down well enough to see what song they had played. He sounded a lot like Perry and it was driving me nuts that I didn't know what the heck they were playing.

It was badass, that's for sure.

Were you in the photo pit right in front of the railing? If so, I think I saw you taking pictures. I was right against the rail on the side right in between Scott and his bassist.

Yes that was me :)

I think Jane's Addiction is getting ready to tour soon. Their web site is showing some life.

Yes.
Yes they are. With Eric Avery.

And allegedly with NIN. Possibly.

My whole spring/summer vacation is depending on them ANNOUNCING it....

I'm a huge JA/STP fan and I freaked too.. for a moment. Unfortunately the song was butchered, inaudible, everyone played something different.
My intent isn't to say the band was incapable of playing the song it just didn't come together at that moment. Still a great choice of song :).

I'm guessing (since he didn't perform it anywhere else on the solo tour) it was like a late minute addition. Like Scott just wanted to sing it or something and the rest of the guys were trying to get it together w/o rehearsal.
and I think it's funny on two counts-one being that Scott commented on Mountain song on the VH1 top 100 hard rock songs of all time AND he most ceratinly could have performed that song with Camp Freddy at some point during his two year tenure!! LOL I mean hell he was performing WITH Dave!! LOL CF usually does MS with Brandon Boyd and he does a kick ass version, I would LOVE to hear Scott sing it!

Right!?!  :D

Blind Confusion is a great song to begin with, but after seeing it live....it blew me away.

That song seems to be the most consistent performance on the tour. I thought he was spot on in Chicago. I agree. I originally liked the song when I heard it on the record, but I grew to LOVE IT when I heard it live.

I like Paralysis and I think it's a good song, but I think Blind Confusion has much more commercial appeal.
Man, I've been saying that since day one.  Its nice to see all of you coming around on Blind Confusion.

Tangle is a GREAT song, but BC would make a more profitable single than Tangle or Crash.  its more commercially viable, and its more similar to the kind of stuff on rock/alternative radio right now.

Man the band carried it off... I was more paying attention to the singing, becuase, we all know if Scott aint in the mood he can just get by on a song & still do a great job.. but he was FULL FORCE INTO it!!! Like no holds bar, just 110% into it. GOD DID SOMEONE GWT THAT ON YOU TUBE??? I love the whole show, but I have to say THAT would be THE moment perforamnce wise to get, just for the rariety alone!! TOTAL shock, i heard the beginging of the strum of the guitar & I looked at my friend, we both said "Is that... sounds like... JANES ADDICTION???"

And he went "COMMMMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN!!!"

And we went nuts!!! That ruled!!
