This should get move to played shows...but alas.
Just got back from LA and the MusicBox. Elisa and I got there pretty early, and managed to get into the show before most everyone else and got spots right on the rail dead in front of Scott and the base player. I took photos, but none of them turned out well given the fact that Scotty doesn't stand still for a second.
In any event, quick take is that this may have been the best show I have seen STP/Scott/VR related. The band was simple ON and Scott's vocals were spot on as well. There were times that he was straining, but it was on purpose (during their jams...etc). They tossed in a VR song (which I think was the only weak part of the show).
Blind Confusion is a great song to begin with, but after seeing it live....it blew me away. Scott introduced it as the next single. The crowd reaction to it was amazing. Scott was all over the damn place during this performance (as was he during most of the show).
He looks like he is in great health. Had a HUGE smile on his face during the whole show, was joking around with everyone and even taking jabs at the guys in the mixing board during and after the set.
On a quite side note. I am 99.9% sure that Mary was standing off to the right of the stage with some small dude who was snapping pictures of the show. During Atlanta, she was even mouthing the lyrics. It was pretty amazing. If in fact it was her (and like I said I am almost certain it was), she looks outstanding for herself. As my wife said, Scott would be dumb to leave that behind. She is beautiful.
I will post more later, as I digress.
