A lovely magic place we dream of?

For those that dont know, Be Not Afraid is a catholic hymn.   Interesting choice for a cover, but its very good, IMO.

I've sang this song in church many times.

Bad choice. But his choice nonetheless.

I really don't like this song.  I'm going to go ahead and say that this is my least favorite song Scott has ever done.

Scott's vocals sounds like a dying cat...I really want to euthanize this song.

what's the point of including 'Be Not Afraid' as a 'hidden song' on the 2 disc version?  It's not like we don't know about it :)

From what i've read here maybe it's hidden because it's crap! I cannot pass judgement yet however because I have not heard the leak yet, if I remember right from the samples though it did sound pretty bad!

I think it's quite good with a strong vocal from Scott.

I can still sing Be Not Afraid off of the top of my head.  It was one of my Grandmother's favorite church hymns.

Yep, I'm a good Catholic School girl. ;) ;D

It's a "hidden" track on both versions, no?
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Love this cover too.  It didn't dawn on me until people pointed it out, but now I remember it from my church going days.  I think it's by far his best vocal performance on the album.  I like the way the guitar sounds with his voice and the words mean alot to me.

ha, I suppose so.  Amazon.com always had it listed as track #13, but you have to purchase the entire album to get it.

Seems pointless to have a 'hidden song' when everyone knows about it :)

This one and "Fame" are the only two songs that i didn't like so far (first impression). I'll give 'em more listens and decide.

Before I opened this thread, I was thinking, 'That's the same name as one of my old church songs.' Sure enough, it is the same song! That's crazy. Kind of weird too. I'll be interested to hear it.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Awful and the only song I don't like on the album. Did someone say they liked Scott's vocals on this song?! I said it in another thread but i'll say it again on this he sounds like one of my drunken friends attempting Karaoke! This is coming from a huge SW fan by the way, oh well i'm sure he wouldn't have put it there unless it meant a lot to him, i'll choose to end the album after Arch Angel though  :)
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long
