Same mix as Bug S/T version.  Awesome song, completely fits everything about the album.  Learning to Drive was a far better title.

I too prefer the STP version. i DO like this track too, but I got it from the Bug soundtrack, so I didn't need it again.

I disliked when VR did that with Set Me Free (including it on the album after being available on the soundtrack) and I don't like it's inclusion here.

Based on all the song titles available/rumored for this album, wasn't there like 30 songs or something? So he certainly didn't NEED to include this on there, so maybe this song has a special place in his heart.

Unfortunately, since it was one of the outtakes, that information is not available.  I would ASSUME it's Robert's doing - but you know what they say about assumptions.  

Are people upset that Scott had included Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down on 12 Bar Blues because it was previously released on the Cruel Intentions soundtrack? Or that Mockingbird Girl was on 12 Bar Blues (in remixed version) despite appearing on the Tank Girl soundtrack 3 years earlier? I don't remember seeing people complaining about that, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't remember that being a complaint, either.  BUT... we weren't sitting around waiting 5 years for 12BB to come out.     Plus, at least he redid "Mockingbird Girl" - this song is exactly the same as it is on the "Bug" soundtrack.  As far as "Lady..." goes - I got nuthin.

Please excuse me if this has alredy been posted.... but did I miss somthing?.... I just heard Scotts new album, and the song Beautiful Day is the same as "learning to drive" from what were apparently STP No. 4 or ShangriLa demos/outtakes.  Who is the band playing on Beautiful Day? are any of the so-called stp out takes actually the whole band?
Either way, the album is awesome!

Not sure what you're talking about.  They're still outtakes because they've never appeard on an album.  They didn't make the cut.

No one knows who's playing on Weiland's new solo disc.  It has not come out yet, thus the information is not available at this time.
