found this post from ejsme from the velvet-revolver forum. It's interesting that the song was written before STP got involved (although it always sounded like a SW solo song imo)

Just curious, is the "Beautiful Day" song that you guys played at the Notre Dame show in any way related to "Learning to Drive?" I always thought that song sounded like a Weiland solo song more than STP -- more experimental than the other "unreleased" STP tracks.
Also, how does one get signed Softdrive Records???

Good ear. BD is LTD. It was submitted for STP's last record and they half recorded it and then passed on it. So we rerecorded it for this BUG movie that's coming out in April now. It was has gone thru 3 forms. The first version we wrote at Lavish before Shagri then the STP version and now our new and improved version 3.0.
