The video's theme fits the song's theme so the symbolism is there, even though it's a pretty droll, low-budget video.

Soft Vinyl, I'm going to agree with your first statement.
they could've done arty shots of him singing in Various Cleavland locations, although i do see the metaphoric family/distraction scenario.

Has anyone wondered if the "1st version" of this song might have had the lyric
"Love you more than ever/  When you burnt my clothes"
.. just wondering.  Fits.
"I\'ve been suicidal since God I don\'t know when, so get down on your knees say a prayer say amen.

Kevin Kerslake wasn't the same director than the video of Days of the Week ?  :-
It seems like he loves to put Scott in the astronaut suit...

Hmm.. the video for me is a big "blah", nothing new, nothing impressive, but is always good to see Scott.

I'm surprised management hasn't broken out a street team to promote the album. I'd be all up for it.

There is a street team.  Head on over to http://www.gen79.com to sign up there.  Nothing spectacular, though.  Nothing even exciting, really.

I think GEN79 disabled the forums...
