Ok, so Scott has a fan who says that the one reason to go and watch him is playing the day after the freak of M.Jackson.

Poor Scott!

What's your problem? It would be a perfect way for me to see them both. What's wrong with that?

Don't listen to them. Just I guess they mean MJ is still always the butt of jokes. Someone would have to follow him, why not Scott. And if it would make you trip or time better, all more more awesome for you!!

So I wonder if Scott is working at all with STP at all until then?  It seems like there are only a handful more Weiland solo shows, maybe a small second leg, so I don't see why they can't start work on the record and then take a break for a few weeks when Scott tours again in a few months.

Well for all you overseas I really hope he does wind up going over to do a few shows.  
As far as profits shipping your instruments over for a few shows here and there is alot different then mounting a huge one stop in every country (or more) trek across the continent.
This album was not done for money.  Scott's said it in interviews it was him blowing off steam when he'd fight with his wife and whatnot.  
The US tour did not sell out, and alot of the shows still had tickets available day of show (NJ for example)
Yes nowadays an artist makes more money on the road, but if he's not selling out 100% every night you may end up losing money really easily...

But you know, i'm not scott or his people and i can't speak for them about what they will and wont do

 I'm not trying to make you feel worse. It's the truth. He didn't even sneak up to Toronto and Montreal during the HIG tour. Yes STP and VR play all over the world because they are big kick ass rock bands that can sell out football stadiums and can finance the trip.
 The solo stuff are considered special interest shows and it's not even financially sane to drive another 100miles up to Toronto.
 The internet has killed any means of profit in cd sales and the only way to earn a wage for a solo record on a small label is to tour on a bus(not a plane) around small venues in your home country.
 This will be it for HIG  solo shows and paralysis isn't gonna be released as a single .......it's over.
 The next time we'll see the man will be STP summer 2009 where they are gonna jam out alot of the new stuff plus different STP songs too and sample it on the fans. The stuff theyve been teasing us with in between songs in 08 and get real tight with it and then make a record and do another tour after it's out.
 The record and tour part is a for sure but the summer2009 stuff before the studio finalizing   would make my life complete.

He spoke about himself in the third person lol.  Did he mean for a few more Weiland solo shows or for a separate project?  Personally I think Doug should form a band of his own on the side because despite what Scott says, he will not go solo full time after the next STP record.  His ego is too big, and if he really means it that's pretty shitty to Rob, Eric, and Dean.  STP is their only shot at making music anyone will listen to, after Talk Show and Army of Anyone nobody outside of the people here will take a THIRD side project band seriously.  Fortunately I see Scott sticking with STP and doing what he's done with Doug over the years, record when he has free time.

We had our first Avis rehearsal in two years today. We've got some new members. Dan Gordon (who also played on the Weiland record) on bass and J.L. on drums. Now that we're home from the Weiland tour and currently unemployed we decided it was time to get this thing off the ground again. So sorry for the long hiatus but we're going to be making big noises again. And I might as well say sorry for that ahead of time. So... Um... sorry. There I said it. OK? Good to see Doug's doing his own band.  He writes some good songs and it'd be a shame if he just sat around waiting for Weiland to come over haha.

Also I guess no more Scott solo shows since he says "unemployed."
