Just like VR have said "big announcement soon" for nearly a year now.  SW probably couldn't make an announcement that would excite me unless it was STP related.  I was excited when I heard the solo record was coming out, I like it, and I saw him solo, so I'm ready for new things.  I know some people didn't see him solo but you've got to keep in mind it's a low budget side project thing, he can't tour everywhere solo.  It's a novelty thing.

The hilariousness of Scott is he didn't see Wedding Crashers until two years after it came out.  Either that or one year ago means two-three years ago.

We hope things are different now, as the Rialto has the former Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver frontman down to play on Tuesday, May 12.

The date comes fresh off the announcement that VH1 is going to start making new episodes of Behind The Music and Weiland will be one of the first subjects.

We’ve seen enough Behind The Music’s to know they always end in some sort of redemption tale, so maybe this idea is giving bookers more confidence for the summer.

Weiland dropped his second solo album, ‘Happy’ In Galoshes last year, which, if you’ll remember, was the 10-year-follow-up to 1998’s 12 Bar Blues …which I’m pretty sure I still own the only copy in existence of.

Weiland’s Rialto show is $25 in advance, $30 day of show and tickets go on sale Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m.

just to clarify, i had a nice time in Boise last year [even though 95% of things were closed on Sunday], i'm just stunned that mid-america gets shows, and we get skipped out.. Boo Portland..

So where are the rest of the dates?

Scott Weiland has mapped out another round of dates in support of his second solo album, Happy in Galoshes, which dropped last year. The Stone Temple Pilots singer's North American spring tour kicks off May 12 in Tucson, Ariz., and is scheduled to run through a May 24 gig in Ventura, Calif.
