WOW! I have seen Weiland well over 20 times in 10 years with STP, VR, this was my first solo show. I was almost expecting it to sound bad and not come across very good, with all the effects sometimes its hard to recreate that stuff live, but I was very blown away at how awesome it sounded! I've NEVER seen Weiland smile and dance sooooo much! He really seemed to be enjoying it and his vocals sounded GREAT, better than the last time I saw STP about 3 months ago.
I was in complete shock when they played ATLANTA!
That was almost the highlight, but the also played 2 or 3 b-sides or covers or jams that I had never heard before and also KILLED Mockingbird Girl and Barbarella!
Those songs sounded jaw dropping and his vocals we're like flames coming from Godzilla! It sounded so good I had to whip out my credit card and buy a shirt and a hoodie, I wanted a mug but they we're all sold out.....
They also played Big Black Monster, Paralysis and I think killing me sweetly but Its hard to remember them all, they closed with Missing Cleveland.
A few of us hard core people hung around after and got to meet Doug, he was nice but seemed really tired. I really wish I could see more shows on this tour but can't afford it and am hoping he adds another leg later on.....
