I remember hearing a really bad cover version of Trippin on a Hole in a paper heart and thinking "Wow, this sucks!" but about a year later I heard the original and was blown away by it. That song started me out on STP, but I didn't become hooked on them until I heard Hollywood Bitch sometime in 2012.
"Stitch the womb and wet the bed..with a whisper I'll be dead".

Definitely plush, as cliched as that seems. Once I heard Core in full, that'd be it and I'd become pretty engrossed by the band. Purple brought it on home and made em' a favorite.

Oh man don't worry my favorite song has been Plush for so long. That's the song that made me like them again it's such a good song. I'm actually trying to learn that song on the bass now along with Sour Girl
"Where did Mary go... fluffy pillows... she swam away..." Ah shit!

Same here really...once I heard the entire Core album I was hooked. Their heavy stuff is where they shine.

This is pretty much the same for me. I saw Plush on MTV and was mesmerized, bought Core and was blown away, a year later, bought Purple and was in love.

Remember when MTV played music? Damn, I'm getting old.

First heard Trippin back in 2007 after my buddy introduced me to it.  My mom happened to have No 4 and SLDD, but I didnt really care for those albums.  I didn't know the grunge STP existed until 2011 when I heard Plush, Big Empty and Creep for the first time. Then I started hearing other songs like Sex Type Thing, Dancing Days, Vasoline, Interstate, etc.. on the radio and I liked them.  After that I was hooked.

very cool topic..this takes me back. I'm 28 now so this was maybe around 2001 i was around 14 or 15 i love the 90s music played a little guitar i knew of stp (plush, sex type thing singles really) but a good buddy of mine got his liscence and we were driving around and this song comes on (dead and bloated) and i can honestly say that in the moment it changed my musical life forever the guitar tones the drums the vocal it was ear candy at it finest. then the chorus (ooohhh yeah yeah...and she says its natural) was just amazing and really still gives me that feeling when i hear it. from then on i got every thing stp, all the cd learn all the songs on the guitar in 2005 i got the flueron tattoo on my arm.this band means a lot to me of course I'm not thrilled with whats going on currently but i always have the cds videos on youtube.

so yeah DEAD AND BLOATED.
