This'll give you a chance to get better seats than the Southaven, MS show.  Are you still trying to go to the MS show?
They sell their words but it\'s all a lie . . .

Probably not...those two shows are really close together...the 26th and then the 30th. So I'm going to have to go to the closer one with the smaller venue. It would take me 8 hours to drive to Southaven....... that's why I was hesitant...especially not knowing how well the seats would be. I would love to go to both but I think that my husband would really start to think that I am nuts!! This one is half the distance and a smaller venue...I'm just so frickin' excited it's like they answered my wishes..I am going to have the best STP dreams tonight baby!

WTF is general admission reserved
« Reply #4 on: August 16, 2008, 12:46:57 AM »
ok so I'm looking for tickets to the show in Tulsa, OK and the general admission section says (red level-reserved) and the tickets are the same price as the seats. Does that mean that there are actually seats? I don't get it. I can not decide if I want general admission or seats in the stands...any advice? I am worried that I wouldn't be able to see if I get gen admin.

Thanks

Just got my tickets...can not wait!! I was confused about the floor seats..they said that they were "reserved" but I would not imagine that they have seats or anything. Since don't want to worry about being able to see from the floor I got seats in the balconies. Dean's side, second section, 9th row back, pretty good I think :) I have heard that when bands play at smaller venues that the sound tends to suck. I wonder if that's true? or if it's the soundboard guys that fuck it up, or it's the equipment that they have at different venues?

Well, I ALWAYS go for GA... its the only way I can get front row... if your not looking to get front row... go for the seats.... same price, if you want to stnad up the whole time or sit I guess is your question... I have to be as close as I can to see Scott.

There are some cases where GA can have seats, but the seats are not assigned. So, you basically can sit where you please.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Hammerstein has GA seats in the balcony-first come first served, grab a seat.
OR some have GA stadium seating like at Nokia, SRO is the pit and behind it is GA seating like in a stadium. Also first come first serve.
Roseland had GA floor and GA balcony. The balcony is kind of narrow and flat, who would want to stand up there?? I just got Cult tickets for Roseland and got floor, even though The Cult shows tend to be testosterone heavy (at Hammerstein we ended up in the VIP balcony courtesy of two cokehead guys who split after the second song. I think one of them ended up seeing those little green men. LOL )

I guess you have to know the venue and the set up I guess.
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)

Damn I just realized that this is the day before Scott's B-day. Kinda wish it was on his birthday...maybe we could sing him happy birthday anyways :) Anyone else going to this show?

Theres no STP show listed for Scott's birthday. Good for him, dude needs a day off.
i'm going to look more into this show and see if I can make it. I need to hear Sin.

==
tickets are 57.50
my flight would be around 250.
If i could find a hostel, and figure out if i'm transfering from one library branch to another [which would mean a dif. work schedule] i'm there.

lets get your bootlegging equipment!

I would have gotten floor tickets if hubby would have been on board with that :( Oh well...I told him that if we go to the Lincoln, NE show that we ARE getting floor tickets ;D As far as hotel goes look at the venue's website. I believe that there is a hotel literally right across the street.

what i might do is just do one of those priceline bids on airfare for thursday, to save some cash. and eventually arrive by friday to wander around along with saturday. I won't even stay in a hotel the night of the show, but just go striaght to the airport on monday. So ideally, i'd like to stay in a hotel in a touristy area, cause i don't drive, and  it'll beat dealing with hassle of the bus.

Are you quite familiar with the area of tulsa? What neighborhood should i be looking to stay in?
COuld you hook a kid up with a ride to the airport? I'll be extra special nice to you! =D
