STP # 13 in Top Rock Bands of All Time!!!

STP would've still gone down in popularity, look at Pearl Jam, no real band problems besides fighting Ticketmaster and they still went down in popularity. 

Pearl Jam actually took themselves out of the spotlight. They still have a HUGE following, but it's more of a cult following similar to the Grateful Dead.

That's one messed up list.  The "consistency" and "random play" categories are crap.  And to give No Doubt's song writing an 82, and Nirvana's a 53?  Blasphemy.

This list was clearly put together by people who hate music, and want it to die.

I say underappreciated because when the casual person talks about STP, they HAVE to bring up Scott and his drug problems. Like he is the first person, let alone front man of a rock n' roll band, to have an addiction. Also to this day, the casual reporter still makes reference to the whole Pearl Jam rip-off story, and it's a stigma that some people won't let die for some reason. It's not often you hear STP casted in a good light, and it would be nice for a change. Certainly the Nirvanas and Pearl Jams of the world will get the credit for the grunge revolution, but it would be nice to hear that about STP because they do deserve some recognition.

It's nice to see STP ranked so high on a list like that but at the same time, that list's order in general is very odd. How the hell did Black Eyed Peas even get on there??? And the Carpenters? They're not a rock band!

This list is by far one of the "Best Of" lists I've ever seen online.
The criteria they used to determine this list was what made it most interesting.
Like the "random songs" catagory.  STP scored high in pretty much every catagory
except for U.S. sales.  

It was great to see STP up there with a couple other
bands I am fond of.  A.K.A. ---The Police, Van Halen etc.  

I guess all of us STP fans might actually know what good music sounds like.
Actually, I don't listen to "critics".  I remember a time when STP was panned by
critics.  I'm sure many of the people on the boards know exactly what I'm talking about.

Who's laughin' now?  The guys in the 13th spot on this list are.

.........all rated below STP? After the top 3 it seems like the guy just randomly selected the rest. I'd be confident in saying that every band in my little list there outrates STP in almost every category that this top 100 is based on.

Bob Marley, The Police, U2, Van Halen, the Eagles and the Doors have no business near the top 10 rock bands.

Are you serious? Aren't the Eagles the number 3 selling rock band OF ALL TIME??(behind the Beatles and Led Zep?)

Aren't the Doors one of the top selling US Bands of all time? And they don't belong in the top 10??
