I don't think one song defines STP. But if I had to pick it has to be Interstate Love Song or Big Empty
Have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.

hmm this one is rather tough, i can't decide but the ones I have in mind are like others have mentioned.

Interstate Love Song, Big Empty, And Trippin'

More so Trippin' regarding the lyrics and how they relate to STP's career with the ups and downs over the years and how there still alive and kicking and not dead. (Im not dead and im not for sale.)
STP: 08/22/10 - Cleveland, OH.
        08/28/10 - Pittsburgh, PA.

I agree with your thoughts here.

My personal favorite STP songs are BE and Trippin'. Oddly enough I ILS is my least fav. I

think Trippin' might be a good defining one.

I think different songs define each person in the band.  You can tell their influences through these songs.

Scott - Bi-Polar Bear
Dean - Heavens and Hotrods/Dumb Love
Robert - Interstate Love Song
Eric - Piece of Pie

As a whole band I feel like No.4 and Shangri La define STP perfectly.

Unique observation. How did you determine Piece of Pie for Eric?
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I'm gonna go with Interstae Love Song as well... I may change my mind later on, though. I reserve the right to do so... haha

oddly enough art school girl gets my vote. it's slower then ROCKS out, with touch of sense of humor and a humming section. I LOVE THIS SONG

I actually had the same thing in mind. :D

But I also agree with Ivy, it's hard to pick one out of so many.
