I think mine were shipped either for free or it was $3 or something.. I wasn't driving 2 1/2 hours just to get the ticket.

No "will call" is when the tickets are held for you at the box office the day of the show. You pick them up when you get there.
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)

The economy is definitely a factor!  There are tons more shows I'd love to go see...just don't have the money.  (NIN, Crue, Radiohead, Carlos Mencia, Lewis Black, etc)

They also don't take into account that gas prices are outrageous and concerts seldom happen in everyone's hometown.

Thus, traveling is required which uses gasoline, which requires a loan to be taken out from the bank.

Needless to say... I'll be seeing them this Sunday in Grand Prairie, TX.  Yes, I am traveling.

Both STP shows I went to sold out (Columbus and PNC). I don't seen any concerns for STP and ticket sales unless the band doesn't show up for a gig or something extreme like that.

I think this article is telling the obvious. Ticketmaster and others are fucking the fans with these bullshit extra costs and the fans are telling them to fuck off by not buying tickets. PNC lawn used to be like $20 for a show. Now it comes to almost double that just cause of the extra charges. It's completely ridiculous.

Also, spending $100+ for the Borgata? I understand it's a nice venue and in a casino, but man that is pricey. You'll only see real fans there or people who can burn that kinda cash on a show.

Not directly aimed at STP.  I hope ticket prices come back into check!

These ticket prices are a joke.  I'm sure all of the current acts touring are doing quite nicely.  I find this hard to believe (from Ticketmaster).
