During the No 4 era, I'd have guessed he was smoking Misty 120's

I strongly agree, but it's very unlikely that he will quit anytime soon.

Scott's probably been puffing away on cigarettes since probably his teenage years I guess? So that makes his habit a little over 20 years. When you've been smoking for that long, it definitely begins to deteriorate your vocal chords and breathing ability. This is why he doesn't sound as good as he did even back during the last tour in 2001/2002. It's made him age a lot quicker as well.

It happens to many singers. Frank Sinatra began to lose his steam a tad in the 1970s because of what?...smoking. It's the dumbest thing a vocalist should ever do.

I hope Scott is at least down to smoking lights or something.

It's not good for anyone. My wife's mom has health problems and she shouldn't be smoking. But, she's a stubborn old Polock who is set in her ways. Scott's excuse...
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Smoking is the least of his problems right now.

Smoking is the worst addiction...for me anyway.  I shit you not, a couple of years ago I had a pleural effusion and double pneumonia.  I was hospitalized for a week and had a chest-tube in.  The pain was so bad I swore off cigs forever.  Guess what I was asking for on the way home from the hospital.  Fricking cigs...I did get Marlboro Ultra Lights though...ha!
Know what I\'m thinking?  No?  Neither do I!  ;Þ

^^^if i buy the ultra lights, i end up smoking twice as many so...no go.

my mother is a psychologist and she actually told me that nicotene has a calming effect (think adhd kids) and so the smoking helps me with my bi-polar at times. she also told me she wasn't trying to excuse a bad habit but that it made sense that i really enjoyed smoking. just a thought.
