I like either venue.

Or Irving Plaza (now called The Filmore at Irving Place).

The only venue I am not totally in love with though it doesn't suck either is Nokia.
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)

I think they'll be fine for Borgata because it's a small venue. ;)  They seem to enjoy the smaller venues more, IMO.

if it's at the events center that stage is HUGE.

The stage is huge but it holds less than 4000 people.  :)  That's what I meant.  ;D

If they do play in NYC, it better be on a Friday or Saturday.  I do NOT want to miss this.
I know I want what\'s on my mind.

They've said they prefer smaller venues.

It's easier to feed off/hear the crowd.

It's more intimate, which probably gets bands more into it.

It means there will be more true fans there.

There's tons of reasons smaller places will make a group perform better....
Eddie Izzard: 7/18, STP: 7/25, 8/31,
Beck: 8/25, 08/30, Radiohead: 8/25

Yup!  What he said!  Although it's not the Nomex that goes to my brain, it's the jet fuel exhaust. :P

I've seen them all kindsa ways, but IMO (Rolling Rock 2001 excluded) every show at a smaller venue has been better. :P

I really like Hammerstein so I hope it's there, but anything in the City I would be down for!

The only thing I hate about Hammerstein is winter concerts.
The coat check is a complete clusterfuck system.

I say EVERYTIME "I'm not going to wear a coat....it's only 2 blocks from penn" and I always wear a coat....

and it seems all the concerts I want to go to are at Hammerstein in the winter. Last Year alone I saw The Cult, Marilyn Manson, Lenny Kravitz and VR on New Years Eve.

I vote for The Cort Theatre on West 48th!
Know what I\'m thinking?  No?  Neither do I!  ;Þ

BEST.SHOW.EVER!!!
better than Columbus, even.
favorite text of the night, from Peebs:
"Formal Encore?  Jacket" because scott changed into a jacket.

there was a pro videographer there, maybe we'll get a DVD!!  he was filming the crowd too.  My seats were row J but with the wedge shape it was only about 3 rows back from the speakers so I got a few awesome pics of Dean, Robert and especially Scott when they came over--but GODDAMN batteries crapped out during Wicked garden so I could only revive them for a pic or 2 sporadically so I missed a ton of photo ops--but that was good in a way so I could focus on the show...
and yeah, most around me didn't know even half the songs.  Forget Lounge Fly or TCQ, some didn't even know Down or Lady Picture show.  Whatever though, it was AWESOME!  I'll upload the pics tomorrow.

had 2 extra tix for section D that I sold for waaay under face, so hopefully that's karma in the bank with the concert gods  ;)

also, did anyone else get the PNC redeeming Tshirt and beach bucks?  we had trouble locating it, no one of course, knew anything but then we got them.  just a little bonus because the show itself is an all time outstanding performance, I honestly hope that shows up on pro-shot DVD!!

oh and it brought a tear to my eye to see how happy they all were after the encore, taking their bows, Robert put his hands together while walking by and bowed down in thanks, Eric was glowing with happiness, SO good to see!!

no, and they only had one size--large.  it's green, i'll try to take a pic and post it, I don't think (not sure though, i didn't look at all the merch) that it's a regular STP merch shirt.  The guy said there's a website we can contact and ask for a replacement size, but I don't think i'll bother, it's not a big deal.

You and I forgot to mention Eric throwing a drum head out into the crowd which from my angle in Sec B looked SIGNED! DAMN it was in Sec A!
