Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart
First Of All, one word to describe the evening in E.J. Thomas Hall. BREATH TAKING. I'm not sure what it is but each time I see this band they get better and better. Everything about the band tonite was amazing. Scott seemed to be moving and grooving around alot more tonight than I have seen at the two shows I have been to as well as vids on youtube. Robert was working his side as usual and appreciating the crowd as well as Kretz when he came down from his drum kit after Trippin'. Dean was moving around alot and getting into it tonite.
The jam after Crackerman was AMAZING. Dean, Robert, and Kretz were jamming out with Scott lending his scat style when they break into their jams. During Down Scott went into the crowd in the seating area and sang most of the song. After it was over some guy from the crowd gave him a ride on his shoulders back to the stage while Scott belted out the first verse to "we will rock you" haha I loved it.
There was some touching moments throughout the night. Someone who went to HS with Scott and played football with him was there and he had a football jersey way back when they played, "This motherfucker played football with me in highschool" haha. He gave it to Scott who in return gave him a scarf he had. He wore the jersey on stage for a few songs. Also, Scott talked about growing up around the area and how much it meant to him. He seems to really pride himself in the area he came from and will never forget it. Which is nice for everyone to always remember where they grew up and so forth. Also, good Weiland quote right before Trippin', "Sometimes you just gotta put on a crash helmet and go, when you fall down you gotta have the courage to get back up and keep going." It was something along those lines, but it just touched me because I could relate with things that have happened to me in the last few months.
Jessie- you were totally sitting in front of me in the grand tier, probably 5-9 rows in front of me. I knew it had to be you because you were the only girl standing the whole show jamming haha. When my buddies and I were leaving their was this green bug with the ohio license plate reading "STPGURL" in front of us. I had no idea who that could have been haha. I'm glad u got to make it though, Scott would have been dissappointed if you didn't
COMPLAINT: CROWD SUCKED!!! WHO SITS DOWN AT A ST MOTHER FUCKING P SHOW!? I wanted to go up to every single person and ask them simply "What the hell are you doing?" It could have been worse we were singing pretty good.
