Yeah the guy is an Ass......and now he is kissing Axl's but b/c if VR folds and Duff/Slash in an act of cosmic improbability get G&R back together Matt knows he is not pivotal member of G&R and might have to go back to his day job at Taco Bell!

LMAO.  This guy was in a band with Scott, right?  Then he should know that if Scott Weiland "drove by" with three of his friends, they'd throw down.  I wouldn't use the word "passive" to describe Scotty.

He's pissed because everyone wanted an STP reunion, and he knows there's no chance in hell of GnR getting back together.  Poor little Matty isn't going to be famous anymore.  Boo hoo.

I think the media insults date far back past when fans really became aware of it. In a  Rollingstone article that came out around the time Libertad was about to drop, Matt was talking about how he was the "kick the lead singers ass guy" and the "Its not like anyone is clamoring for a STP reunion"...He must have known there was momentum in the STP camp and was taking a cheap shot.

It was touched on earlier but I think the way Matt put it in Rolling Stone was "The world has not been abiding it's time waiting for a Stone Temple Pilots reunion"

It came off as almost a challenge in the way he put it. It sounds to me like Weiland accepted and now STP is getting attention (and it's mainly positive) and VR is not....I guess it backfired on you Matt...
