REVIEW:
In August 2007, I was sitting in the Bell Centre watching VR perform and thinking to myself how cool it'd be if I saw STP there someday. Back then it was little more then a dream, tonight, less than a year later, that dream became a reality.
At that 2007 VR show, the STP songs got the biggest cheers and I couldn't help but be surprised as I didn't expect Montreal to be much of an STP hotbed. Tonight, I was surprised as well, because there were a lot more people for STP than there was for VR (and VR had the GNR fanbase as well). It just goes to show you how many new fans STP has made, from their songs being played on the radio, and also the popularity of VR.
What about the concert? In one word: AMAZING. This is by far the best concert I've ever been too. All 4 guys were firing on all cylinders tonight. Scott Weiland was joking around a lot, smiling all the time, and even went into the middle of the crowd for part of Plush. You never saw Scott joking around and going into the crowd with VR. He seems genuinely happy to be with the DeLeos and Kretz again. His stage presence is also much better with STP than with VR. He is back where he belongs, with STP. Scott also looked and sounded healthy, so no worries there. They even came on early (at 8:55).
What an amazing show!
