Hard Rock 2001
« on: May 17, 2008, 12:45:38 AM »
Back in 2001 I went to the second show of the back to back shows at the Hard Rock. The day of the second concert my girlfriend and I were walking around the casino and I spotted Eric. I had the SLDD sleeve with me and a sharpie just in case. I know at the Hard Rock I have seen a lot of bands just chilling so I figured why now? Anyhow I kind of ambushed Eric by impeding his progress from where he was walking. Looking back it was kind of a douch kind of move but I wanted to get that cover signed. Anyhow, he was really cool. Talked with me about one of the Family Values shows and then signed the sleeve and then politely excused himself. I thought he was totally stand up. Especially considering the turmoil the band had the night before.

I just wanted to relay that story. He seemed like a really cool dude.

Sounds like a really cool experience.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I took a picture with Carlos Mencia. At the time I thought it was badass, now not so much.

I sat next Walter McCarty (Celtics player) on a plane ride to Phoenix. He wasnt really talkative at first because he had just been traded. I broke the ice by bashing Danny Ainge and he and I continued to bash him and Celtics management for a good half hour. He also gave me his free soda because he doesn't drink it. We talked Civil War for awhile when he saw my book I was reading for class. He also signed my Red Sox hat for me. He was nice. I have never met anyone else famous, but I did see Sean Marion get kicked out of a nite club in Vegas once.
STP: A bunch.

I'm always hoping I'll run into one of the Pilots somewhere. I've only seen Linda Hogan and her 19 year old boyfriend walking through the airport.
