The show on April 7th was shorter. 7 songs.

I paid 250 dollars for those tickets and drove in the car for 6 hours to get there.

Yeah, but the April 7th show was a special case. That would have been worth it to me too for an intimate setting like that.

No Lady Picture Show, Lounge Fly or Sour Girl in Baltimore

I would've happily lived without those three if I got Sin, SS and TCQ in their place. :)

I should also note I was really excited to see All in the Suit and Coma when the tour started, but that hope died off when they stopped playing those altogether. Pity, Suit is one of my favorite STP songs.

A couple other perspectives on the show. I have to say the last one is way, way off base. I guess whoever wrote it went to a different show than I:

http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/ej/2008 ... umbershoot
http://pugetsoundblogs.com/spintheblack ... le-pilots/

Except the part about Scott pulling up in the tour bus. That's true and was actually really, really funny. They drove him right up to the stage and he jumped out and ran straight on. I'm still laughing about that.

That first one he talks about Scott asking them not to throw beer cans; and then the guy says they don't sell beer in a can there; ummm don't you think that even though they don't sell it doesn't mean that someone could have canned beer?::)

I also think that's hilarious about him jumping from tour bus to stage ;D The man never rests...he keeps himself busy...I guess he needs no preparation to take stage...which is what makes him great!

They also speak of incoherent ramblings in their reviews, but I understood every single word he said. He didn't talk much between songs though, like I mentioned in my own review, they seemed pretty rushed because of the 11pm closing deadline.

Vasoline
Big Empty
Sour Girl
Lounge Fly (clip)

Yeah, I don't know which show the reviewer saw. I agree they seemed rush, but other than that, little to complain about. I also understand just about everything Scott said, as did most of the crowd, who'd cheer and applaud appropriately.
Eddie Izzard: 7/18, STP: 7/25, 8/31,
Beck: 8/25, 08/30, Radiohead: 8/25

Haha, great clip of Weiland waxing poetic on stage:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzKmvZ1-nYQ

He has been a lot more audible the last few shows.

Yeah, I was there for that one, at the time I couldn't decide if he was giving us a compliment or putting us down.

They played Coma and TCQ and Sin at the Hollywood bowl. The only song left out was suit witch sucks because they could have cut big bang baby for that.

At some of the concerts, I've heard that when you get bottled water, they won't give you the cap to the bottle.  The venues are afraid fuckwits in the audience will hurl them at the band.
They sell their words but it\'s all a lie . . .

Most if not all venues I go to do that including sports stadiums. It's just so stupid.
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)
