I hope it comes out on CD as well.  I'm one of the few people that I know personally who still goes CD shopping on a regular basis.  I just like owning the actual copies of albums etc...It's a shame CD's don't sell like they used to...

I just don't see this happening.

Lots of time between now and when they say they want to record for the usual STP-bullshit to go down.
Take it.

Yeah I doubt they do an online release only. I bet they go indie and create their own label.

Robert said they will record around 100 songs......A lot of nice b-sides! :)

It seems a lot of bands are growing increasingly frustrated with how the record industry works nowadays so it wouldn't surprise me either if they released it on their own label or something like that.  Scott has his own label though doesn't he?  They could release it on there I suppose if it came down to that.  Dean said in a recent interview that two of the members are still bound to Atlantic Records or something of the sort so...who knows?

Could you imagine how intense and beautiful the music will be after putting out an amazing album like SLDD ? I am hopping for a double or tripple album !

Well, at least you might get a double album from Scott as his solo album is apparently going to be a double.  I'm excited to hear new music from both Scott and STP...

Scott should have saved Gas and a Dollar laugh for STP. Surely has an STP feel. It is now lost in VR B sideland.

What when did Dean say that? Thats kinda odd that just tow of the members are still bound to Atlantic and not the whole band....I wonder how that happened?

I'm really looking forward to Weiland's solo album, especially to hear the collaboration with Steve Albini.  I'm curious to see how the release/promotion/touring schedule works with STP talking about recording again soon.  I'd love to see Scott do a short, smaller venue tour...but only if worked within getting in the studio with Dean, Robert and Eric.

I hope they go back to the Purple sound. Would love a new album like that.

Agreed, so long as we don't have to put up with STP playing them.
