ok...I have to defend Duff on this one. I'm not sure how many of you play bass on this forum but I do and I've played many Duff bass lines and he's an underrated talent. So what he doesn't play shit like Flea or someone like that...does that make him any less talented? No...he has a different style of playing. What makes a great bass player is really in their groove and how they can hold down the battle ship, so to speak, and tie the music all together...and Duff does just that. Have you ever seen the bass line to songs like Don't Damn Me, Locamotive, or even Fall to Pieces? Those are amazing. Or what about those bass parts that just kick your ass or are memorable right from the start...what would Sweet Child, Right Next Door to Hell, or Big Machine be without the bass line? Or the newer VR stuff like Spay? Duff is a great bass player...end of story.

His guitar work from November Rain still to this day gives me chills. I LOVE his solos. You never hear anything like that anymore.

Well, you still do hear solos today, but they just arn't as memorable.

It is memorable because it is almost the same solo in every damn song since NR... Sick of it.

This isnt true at all.  Slash branched out a lot on libertad.  His solos almost have a hispanic vibe to them on that record.  Same basic tone, but way different style.  Some of his solos got more back to basics, less insane playing, more melody.

Uh. No.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

"As for our fans — I will sweat, bruise, and bleed for you. And will continue to do so until the end of this tour. However, you deserve to hear VELVET REVOLVER playing… not certain individuals singing along to get a muddied up sound. God forbid — could one imagine if I grabbed a guitar and started soloing along with Slash? That would never happen because I know my place. It's a shame… we were a gang. But ego and jealousy can get the better of anyone. I wish the best and plan to annihilate the stage in the last few shows.

What is Scott talking about here?

i'm down for whatever kind of music comes out of that camp, they rocked their first two albums

Hey guys, i was thinking that Slash is a real moron with a big ego. He just can't take it, he can't accept that Scott left VR (dump Slash) for STP.
take a load off

Stp is simply 5 times the band vr is. I like vr alot and I love pure rock n roll but I just dont care that they are finished up if STP is back and breathing.

VR's biggest mistake. . . letting Scott go.

But I'd rather have STP in the spotlight, than another band trying to perform and ruining the STP classics.
