Opie & Anthony were talking about the NJ show.

http://www.foundrymusic.com/media/displ ... /id/18262/ - so far, what I heard, Opie & Anthony went backstage when they knew something was wrong. They report that Scott called some chick a cu*t and wanted her off the tour, and then a DeLeo taunted him from outside the bus, "Come on, Axl!" because a security guard was not letting anyone in and he was late. Officials inside the venue were preparing for a riot.

For this concert, STP wasn't on an off day.  Scott was.  The rest of the members kicked ass!
I know I want what\'s on my mind.

That's fine if you don't like Opie and Anthony.  I understand that some people hate them.  But I believe Opie's story 100%.  Whether you like them or not, Opie, Anthony, and Jim Norton are probably the most honest people in entertainment today.  I was listening to this today.  It's not crap.  Opie was there.  And I completely believe him.  I also feel really bad for the rest of the band.  I've got the show recorded and if someone wants to put the file up, I'll be happy to send it to you.  But I think the link on the first page probably took care of it.  I didn't check it out.

One other thing, Opie was trying to somewhat defend the rest of the band.  At one point he said they're "one of my favorite bands of all time."

I never listen to these guys but it sounds like first hand info to me.  Also, it sounds pretty right on if you compare VR stories as well.  Hope the money is good enough for these guys.

Well that's really it isn't it?  It's not like they didn't know this was a possibility when reuniting.

I've been to some awful concerts in my day and I've never expressed wanting my money back.

I did once...
Satellite Party.

IT WAS AWFUL.

But then I remembered I used my AMEX points so the ticket was free.
But I wanted my points back :-p

I mean after reading all these experiences from people who were there it sounded like a disaster, and while it might not have been their best performance I'd still rather watch stp on aN off day than most other bands at their best...

However I guess for fans of the band to be saying they'd like their money back it must have been bad, hell what do I know I wasnt even at the show.

I was not in NJ so I can't comment on that show. However, to ease the minds of those who hope to see them in the coming weeks, I saw STP last week in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun Casino. Scott looked like he was a bit drunk (apparently not as bad as NJ) and the band ROCKED. It was a good show, well worth seeing, and Scott sang well overall. Not their best concert certainly, but better than the majority of bands you'll see.

The band ROCKED in NJ and Scott was a lot drunk.

I had no problem with Robert, Dean and Eric. They were great as always.
Scott's condition however didn't make me mad or pissed . Just very very sad.

They weren't.

The reason being that it fits directly with what Scott slurred on stage as an apology to the crowd. Something like "yooou knnowww sometimes lifffffffe jusssst takesss a craaazy turrrn" and then went into something about a girl outside the bus and Robert immediately cuts him off and just said "it's all cool Bro"

Then after the song Scott and Robert were talking by the drum riser and hug. But it wasn't a "I love you Bro" hug, it was more like Robert comforting Scott. I was just weird.

Boy...this almost makes me want AoA back (won't happen) and for Scott just to go and get his act cleaned up.

65 tour dates was too much to begin with. I had posted a poll a while back asking how many shows should they do for their reunion tour. My thought was they should be about 15-20 just to get the hang of things and then go back into the studio.

Hopefully, it was just one bad night and Scott, seeing the trouble he was causing for himself and his bandmates, saw the light and cleaned up his act.

BTW -- I am not an O&A fan, in fact I think this is the first time I have heard them, but those who are saying they are full of it must be the "new STP fans" Scott has been talking about. Young and naive.
