Does anyone know what time STP is scheduled to hit the stage?

Not sure the different times bands are scheduled for, only the lineup is available.  Anyone want a ticket?!  Section 101.

Yeesh - I really really don't want to rain on the STP-is-back parade, but that is apparently the exact same setlist, in order, song-for-song, that they played in Columbus Sat. night.

Even though the guys in the band have specifically mentioned how they're going to rotate and change things up every night.

Well, as long as they keep rockin' it out I guess.

I'm not surprised the setlist is the same. They just played their first show back last night, and they had to go right back at it tonight. Listening to the recording of the Columbus show, you can tell Scott didn't remember all the lyrics, so sounds like the band probably wants to keep polishing these songs before throwing some others in there (Adhesive? Glide? Dumb Love???)

Hell, if I was at the NJ show I'd be pretty stoked to hear All in the Suit and Lounge Fly

Lady Picture Show would do it for me...I would pay admission just to hear them perform that song then leave.

I know that thought is coming BUT...

1. It's early in the tour after a long time away.
2. These are festival shows.

I'll at least give them till the real start of THEIR tour (IE. Non-Festival shows) before I start picking apart the length of the shows and the set-lists. I agree it might be a bummer for those who are going to all of these festival shows but most people familiar with festival set-lists know that they are heavy on greatest hit type songs and not generally changed up much. I believe we'll definitely see a change in the sets soon.

To the show itself, as the recording last night shows that is a nice set of songs regardless!

Lady Picture Show sounds fucking awesome from the Ohio audio. It sounds so smooth and upbeat, and Scott's vocals are dead-on. I hope they play that song at every gig. It's one of their best songs, if not the best.

Just back from Camden. The Thin White Duke has landed. Scott now paying homage to Bowie in a light three piece suit with red fedora. Bleach blond hair with pink streaks. Scott sounded great!! Band was very good. Robert was high in the mix. Scott missed a cue during ILS. Down was botched badly. Almost stopped midway through. Robert salvaged it by getting to the solo and the band restarted and finished. Scott's vocals were excellent. He is singing a bit different on some parts, but it sounds good. Not the whirling dervish we have seen in the past.

Write more tomorrow.

They probably wanted to fine tune everything before they brought more songs into the repertoire for the tour since they haven't played togehther for so long. Just a thought. I could be wrong. Anybody want to hear "Silvergun Superman" this go around? I know I did/do.

I just got back from this show and it was awesome to say the least...my first STP concert.  As someone posted earlier, Scott butchered Down pretty badly, to the point where Robert said "this is the worst rendition of this song we've done."  Scott forgot the words and eventually they stopped playing, picked up on Dean's solo, and then they finished it correctly.  Scott started singing the first verse as soon as the song started, therefore he was ahead of the rest of the band.

Aside from that hiccup they were phenomenal and Scott sounded great, much better than I thought he sounded during the Kimmel performance.  Looking forward to seeing them again in August!
