They had a hard time with it last night, Eric Robert and Dean were solid with it.

Will STP be able to reconnect and hold it together for another album ?
« Reply #436 on: June 02, 2008, 11:53:29 PM »
Do you all think that STP will be able to hold it together through out this tour to put out an album after ? After what I saw saturday night I have some serious doubts. It appears that Scott is at a low point and from this interview http://www.foundrymusic.com/media/displ ... /id/18262/ it sounds like he is distant from the band , I believe their best work came about through a closeness they all shared. Hell will they even be able to make it through a tour !

Let's put the current discussion about Scott's recent behavior aside for a moment. Even if you assume he is getting better and is off drugs, he is someone with a strong drug addiction in his past and a drinking issue, and you just have to hope and pray for him month to month. He and the band - not just us - need to focus on doing well personally and professionally now. Worry about later...later.

I think they will, Robert's the only one hesitant not to make it, and an album is easier to make than touring.  And it'd have some amazing depressing lyrics thanks to Scott's recent fuck ups.

I have my doubts Scott Weiland will still be alive by the end of this tour.

I wish they had just eased into the tour, if not just make the album beforehand. That's the problem with thinking about money first.

Layne Staley was able to survive 5 years of doing drugs non stop (1997-2002) at his house with no breaks and not even touring/recording to distract him, along with his use from 1990-1996.  Scott's had some for sure clean and sober periods: mid 1999-late 2000, over one year clean, and late 2003-2007, and it's a possibility that all he's doing is heavy drinking, even though heroin is a possibility.  Sure it'll catch up to him at some point if he doesn't stop, but Scott has not been doing drugs non stop since 1993 like a dude like Layne Staley was.

Truthfully i think he really was clean in between stp and VR.  Hence Fall to Pieces.  But I think that touring and being Rock and Roll Scott has put that shit in his face again.  So it's either clean and sober non existant to us scott or Using, making awesome music scott. It just sucks its 1 or the other.

They added three more shows. I have a bad feeling they're gonna burn themselves out.

The following shows have just been added to the 2008 tour:

July 08, 2008 - Glen Falls, NY
August 02, 2008 - Oklahoma City, OK
August 06, 2008 - Wantagh, NY

Also, new pictures from last weeks show at the Mohegan Sun Arena are now posted in our Photo Album, check them out!
