For those complaining about the mistakes in Down live...
« Reply #364 on: May 26, 2008, 02:50:17 AM »
It could be worse! You could have a guy from the audience singing it! The strange thing is this footage was recorded last year when the Deleo's were touring with Army of Anyone and they play the song perfectly. From the footage of STP performing it from a few nights ago it's clearly the Deleo's who make the mistake (Or possibly Eric) although Scotts vocals weren't the best either, still they're better than this guy below. Check out the videos below and see which one you prefer!

I hope STP can iron out the mistakes and put on the excellent performance we all know they are capable of.
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long

Huh?  It seems it to me that Scott began singing during the intro, threw the rest of the guys off.
I’m here to bleed for all the lust and lonely nights.

i think his voice sounds alright..altho in the 2nd verse it doesnt sound like the same words (or i just cant hear them)..i guess he can change the song up a little bit tho if he wants to..the lighting for the concerts seem to be pretty cool

Same here. That was one of their best performances of the night along with Wicked Garden and Silvergun Superman.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Amen, brother. I have never seen either of these videos, and that botched performance of Down was rough. They sure did pick up nicely a few days later here in the Chi.

I was at the Chicago show and was pleased overall.  I've been reading all the complaints on here about the issues with the band (wrong lyrics, equipment failure, out of sync, etc.) and I've got to agree.  I understand that they haven't played together for a long time and that it's early in the tour, but we shouldn't have to be satisfied just because we saw them together again.  If they weren't ready to go on tour than they should've waited instead of basically just taking advantage of all of us.  I don't think this would be bothering me as much if they didn't remind us how much money they're getting from this every five minutes.

how much money are they gettin every five minutes?, i wouldnt have guessed they made much in the last few years from their respective projects

i think he/she meant reminding the fans every five minutes about the money.
