Agree with you both, really - my preference would be for them to have a touring keyboardist/2nd guitarist. Then we could have the best of all worlds...doubt it will happen though.

Let them know I can play pretty much every STP song (I can even do the trippin solo), and I am available to tour.  :)

Truely a battle with Art School Girl for the two songs that smell the worst.  They are the only 2 I skip and never listen to.

You guys are killing me here, funny enough when I was younger and first got into STP my friend and I would always sing "Art School Girl" so it kinda has a soft spot for me

Alrite so your telling me you have never sang along to songs with your friends, remember the first song you heard from a band, or had a song that had some significant meaning to you. I'd find that really hard to believe. I posted that in a total no homo way haha jeez

Pruno takes the title for the worst.

Leave my Art School Girl alone!
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

agreed.

I love Art School Girl, Pruno, Song For Sleeping (which I used to sing to my boy every night) and, yes, I love MC5 too!!! This puts me very much in the minority, I reckon.

The only track I've never been crazy about is Glide, which a lot of people adore...oh well.

Shangri La came out about a month after my first son was born.

So song for sleeping hit that soft spot with me. It'll always be there.

BTW, Pruno kicks ass.

HAHA!

That was funny.

My deal with Pruno is this. The chorus bugs the crap out of me. For the longest time I couldn't tell if Scott was saying 'I got a method' or 'I got a message.' Musically it's ok, but considering they had 30 or so tracks to play with for the album and THAT made the cut kind of irks me I guess.

I never was a big fan of MC5 either. I used to LOVE Sex & Violence. That was intially my favorite track when the album first came out. Then I just got bored with it.

And I do enjoy Song for the Sleeping as well. I don't have any kids yet, but when I put a video together of my young lad, I will most definitely include that song.

I'd applaud them if they had the balls to play it live.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to hear a live acoustic version, it'll never happen in an arena type setting.
It would have to be a backstage, radio type of performance if they ever did it.

but it would be cool.
