Papa Roach has definitely evolved into a great straight forward rock band. There last two albums are fantastic compared to the rap-rock days of Infest. They put on a great live show too.

I've heard this too, but I've been afraid to take the plunge.

Everytime I hear Papa Roach I think of "Last Resort" and I fucking hate that song and songs like it.  ;)

Maybe I need to check them out again though.

They're on the front page!  Now they need a cover story in the MAGAZINE!

I agree! A cover story would be awesome

Just posted a video of All in the suit that you wear on youtube. Sorry for the quality, and the unsteadiness of the camera. I was dodging some crowd surfers and plastic beer bottles lol. Enjoy!

...though it wasn't a long article, a few weeks ago, in the issue with The Hills Whores on the cover, it does list "Stone Temple Pilots" on the front, and there is a jumped article that's about a half page long.

Hey - it's a start.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Did anyone mention that after the band left the stage, they played "Wet My Bed" over the loudspeakers, in usual STP fashion?  No gong, though.  Damn!

Yeah... I got that on camera t'ill the end.

I have some videos to upload, but I can't upload to youtube because of their size (.avi files). Does anyone know of a free video format converter by any chance?

You should send a PM to Aaron.  He's our resident audio/video guy.  I'm sure he'll be able to point you in the right direction.  And if they're good quality, he might even want them to post here.

They did a complete 180 from that album. Their sound is a more rock/punk vibe to it. Jacoby sings more then anything and he completely dropped the rap-rock act. They actually started to slowly drop the rap act on the album after Infest. So it's been a generally progression, and they sound a hell of alot better.  I know they have taken their licks from critics in the past, but they have really improved overall. I have a feeling that the general music public just remember Last Resort, Broken Home, etc., and that's a shame really. They have so much more to offer.

The first time I saw them live, Jacoby said a big influence of his was STP. They covered Sex Type Thing and fuckin NAILED IT. Besides totally making up for butchering Sweet Emotion, that moment made me realize that maybe this band has something. I am not saying they are the greatest band to come out of the early 00's or that. I am just saying that they were another victim of being generalized as a nu-metal/rap-rock band when they are clearly not.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Yeah, I saw that. What's wrong with RS, putting the hills shit on the cover instead of STP...at least STP is a band who actually make music. RS is not what it used to be
