VR just cancelled Australia because of Weiland's rehab.  My guess is that STP will be announced Tues as an act at Rock on the Range, whether they actually perform and do other shows is the bigger question.  Are the Deleo's willing to deal with this stuff-postponements, cancellations, and crazy acting Weiland?

If the Rock on the Range ends up being credible, my wife and I are there. I doubt they will come to Charlotte and the next closest venue they will probably hit would be the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC.

I am "buying" the rumors, at least prior to Weiland entering rehab.  Until we get the Deleo's confirmation and specifically how Weiland's issues may or may not impact this thing, I will remain cautiously optimistic.  If they are set up for a summer tour and it gets cancelled because of Weiland, we may never get another shot at seeing them again.

This could be an opportunity for a surprise club gig for STP, come out after Camp Freddy and play a few hits to warm up for the first show and possible tour, if they don't do their own surprise club show.

"I am pleased to be able to tell you that Camp Freddy will be taking over the world famous Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles every Thursday night during the month of May for our very first residency. Each week we will perform a different set list and the evenings performance will culminate with two or three songs featuring our very special guests of the night. We will NOT be advertising these guests in advance. The band will be joined each week by our good friend, and longtime Camp Freddy cohort, Mr. Mark McGrath. Mark will perform each week with us and will join Donovan in hosting the evenings festivities. I am sure that a friend or two might appear onstage at each gig as well. Keep in mind Billy was the first guy to mention the STP reunion in late 2007, mentioning, "half of LA knows about it," and a few rumors have suggested a warm up club show or two, and this seems like the perfect opportunity since Scott does Camp Freddy sometimes. Hopefully somehow we get a heads up day of.

I've already bought tix to RotR only because of the STP announcement. The show is going to be a road trip for me, but I'm admittedly terrified that they will make it on stage with a ready-to-go Weiland.

I've followed this band since the beginning, and never let up, but I'll admit that as I get older, my optimism in situations such as this declines. It's the most depressing negative linear correlation ever. :(

Somewhere on that RotR website Robby also says something about how "it's about time" or something like that.  Don't remember where I saw it.  Honestly, though, even if I found out that W had like, kidnapped Kreztel and the DeLeo's and was forcing them to play these shows against their will, I wouldn't really care.
