ddnt even realize Filter was coming out with the album so quickly

Yeah I didn't realize as well.
Maybe Richard had new Filter material (ideas) ready during AOA era

Richard Patrick talking about the future of AoA
« Reply #32 on: August 15, 2008, 06:51:58 AM »
This is an interview Richard recently gave in Arkansas.

I haven't seen this posted anywhere on the board, so I apologize in advance if it has been posted.  He spends the first little while talking about AoA.

Wow I really agree with what hes saying here and have more respect for him now. Man I wish Weliand was sober and into talking about stuff like this. Is Richard a vegetarian? Some things he says makes me think he could be.....if not then why even talk about it?

Thanks for the link......I miss AOA but I'd rather have STP,
-Chase

That woman really should have stayed off camera.  Yikes.

"They've got their hands full with Scott Weiland" - what the hell is that supposed to mean?  :)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Anyone that doesnt think Scott is a handful is either crazy or naive.  I love the guy to death, but we all know he is a handful :)

I dont think RP meant any ill-will by that line though.

I don't feel like Scott is a handful, I have empathy for him. Sometimes people can't handle life too well. He's been through a lot, and if he were to not show up for a show for any reason whatsoever, I wouldn't get all worked up and freak out. Even if he was just getting hammered in his tour bus.

That's just me though.

I was being facetious, A.  lol.  I think "handful" is putting it mildly.  :)

My calling Scott a handful has nothing to do with his alleged drug use or the missed show.  Scott is a hell of a performer, and an amazing musician.  However, he definitely has a bit of that diva attitude, which is why Jessie and I call him a handful.

Why people tend to "brush" off AOA sometimes really gets me. . . I thought the AOA album was really good. But you know, why the media brushes it aside just "urks" the hell out of me -- It was not a bad project. And that woman who "interviewed" him probably should've stood outside of the bus, no offense as I'm no model myself, but damn. That's wicked.

Lessons learned from Shangri La Dee Da. Nu Coma Movement, anyone?

Hahahahaha.

I was completely against that damn thing from the get-go (sorry Rik, etc.)

I was a BIG fan of the "Dumb Love" movement, but apparently I was the only one.

I liked Dumb Love too, but at the time I felt as though Coma better fit what was popular on the radio. Oh well. Parts of the idea were decent, but the execution failed a bit on the dev end.
Rest in Peace Mr. Weiland.
