the man wouldn't make it past auditions on American Idol...
yeah, but I'm not sure Scott W. would either.  The winners on the show are generally trained vocalists.
Usually. As the results can attest to; not always.

But then again, we are talking about him singing while performing.  I personally don't think I'm so hot at singing, but with a little time, some quality recording, some auto-tuning, some compression and some reverb I don't sound so bad.

Let me state, for the record, that I do not want him to sing on his album.  However, I don't know if it's completely fair to crucify him for not being able to sing on stage.  He can come over to my place whenever he wants, I'll record him.  It'd be fabulous.

I think it'd probably rule.  Rob wrote just about every one of my favorite STP tunes.  If anything, I'd prefer that he just releases an instrumental.
Yeah I agree with that I mean he did a great job writing STP's music but writing lyrics... heh

Of course its risky business to put your music out there without any promise of financial gain, etc.. But I think if Robert times it right (which is why he has waited this long) he could do a solid release. I asked him about it during the AOA tour and he said he was really proud of it and hoped to release it at some point... It's all timing... Maybe if Scott's does well and the next STP album does great, we will see it... It just might take a really long time.

I can't wait for it though...
My only exit is a one way out...

Any word on special guests? I could only imagine who would come out to play with him.  Who wouldn't?
