My first post.............from the UK!! Here it goes........

Tiny music.....
Purple
No.4
SLDD
Core

Rather than mention the real rock moments................
there are a few goosepimple moments too..........(which i may mention in other more appropriate posts later on - )
Still remains - great song!!
kitchenware and candy bars - brilliant all throughout!!
Seven Caged Tigers - I have scoured these boards for a few years now but this has never been mentioned - The end of the song - with the Dean Deleo outro - sounds like a fender guitar on a middle setting pick-up - excepional and quite sad I think.............I really love it!!!
Glide - the beginning chords - excellent stuff!!!

It's my least favorite because I feel the quality of the tunes range from flat out awesome (Down, H & H, Atlanta) to not all that great (Pruno, S & V, MC5). It's a diverse album, very similar in that aspect to SLDD. But I feel overall, the quality of tunes on SLDD is better.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

N. 4 is very special for me, as I started listen to STP back in 1997, and at the time I thought they would never release an album again. So you guys can imagine how thrilled I was when I heard the album for the 1st time!

I agree on the whole - for me, No.4 has the best lyrics of all the albums and, had it been 100% finished & included "You Can't Drive Me Away" as well, it would be my favourite for sure.

I'd have to go with...

No. 4
SLDD
Purple
Core
Tiny Music

No. 4 was an incredible album. Starts off with some of the hardest songs they've written and ends with some of their best mellow tracks in "Atlanta" and "Glide".

Of course, all of their albums are pretty incredible.

That is a great tune. It should have made the cut.

Absolutely, could have been a huge hit imho. Aerosmith (don't get me wrong, I love 'em) need to bring in major hit songwriters to provide tracks like that - STP can do it themselves and then not even release it!

Come to think of it, YCDMA would make a great radio single to promote the summer tour - it's a perfect summer song with just the right title...

Purple I think is their strongest all around album with my favorite STP opener and maybe my favorite closer (But that's a toss up really; They really knew how to close an album).

No. 4 I think is really underrated, and has some of my favorite songs from them. Shame many of them were never played life.

I think Core all around is better than TM; I sometimes dislike Scott's voice on TM and Core has better songs. TM does have some good stuff on it though.

SLDD I used to really enjoy, but now, not so much. I really dislike the production on it, which is strange considering it was done by Brendan and he does all of their albums (File that under the "Shit everybody already knows" category.) Has some of my least favorite STP songs ("Song For The Sleeping".... ugh. "Wonderful" I dislike too., and the best songs on the album aren't nearly as strong as their other's.

At the moment I think I'd rank it...

SLDD
Tiny Music...
Purple
No. 4
Core

I'm thinking the first three might need some re-ordering, but I do know they're my top 3. As for Core and No. 4, they're great albums, but I feel that they show less diversity, which is something I love about STP. I like listening to a balls-out rock song one minute and a soothing tune the next. But hey, they're all great albums...
