I can't remember where I read it but Scott talks about Mary's tattoo and how she got it when he was in jail as a gesture of devotion to him. So he got her face put on his arm to express the same type of devotion and the fact that he wanted to be reminded of how beautiful she was.

But I agree with you - though I've never seen a GREAT shot of the tattoo, from what I've seen it doesn't look like it's done very well.

It's alright, though.  When he and I run away together, the first thing he's doing is having that taken off and replaced with MY beautiful mug.  The second thing he's doing is...  probably not allowed to be posted here.  :-*  Haha.

personally I'd switch the order around on that ;)


I dont like the tattoo either and i think its a strange place to have a portrait tatt on oneself.

P.S. I dont like her either :)

i get that impression too...of course, i have very little to base  that intuition on other than that time where  he said something along the lines of them basically being addicted each other...its not exactly the type of relationship most healthy for someone with addiction issues openly stating that (speaking from personal experience) and co-dependence isnt healthy for anyone.

I see what you are saying..just seems like his track record on stage (i.e. getting on stage and being the Scotty I loveth- actually acting like he is happy and coherent) is better when she is around (and NOT that I know that to be gospel).. and NOT that that means he is better inside his head.  He of course is the only one to know that.  I'd love to try and help him figure it out.;)  now back to his... :)

oh probably...it just bothers me, the postiton is so awkward...but its not on my arm so i guess it doesnst matter...as long as he likes it thats the main thing

i think the tat of his wife is sweet...but it does break the cardinal rule of tattoos...never ever place a likeness or name of a significant other on your body - it dooms the relationship to failure.

i'm getting a tat soon and hubby wants me to put his name on me this time...yeah right buddy...ain't gonna happen.


i never understood what all the tribal tats on his (scott's) one arm meant - if anything.
