but, believe it or not, i have seen a Shirley Temple's Pussy t-shirt before!  i saw it once, like in 1995 - some dude in a movie theater was wearing it ... so ya,  a long time ago, lol.

anyways, the name Stone Temple Pilots is so ... them

that's the best way to describe it and i dont think anything else quite fit.

Umm.. they were "JITney Houston" and I was at that show (unless there were others). It was here in San Diego and they opened(!) for "local ledgends" Lucy's Fur Coat" (another great band for early STP fans to check out) who have since disbanded. Scott was cool to hang with that night downtown as the headliner rock and rolled us after an amazing "Core" set from STP. We all got invited to be on the Wicked Garden video which they shot just a day or so later.

Yeah, I remember thinking that night that it didn't matter WHAT they called themselves that they were an amazing, high energy band to see live. The fact that there were less than 200 people crammed into that bar didn't hurt either as they seemed to feed off the crowd's excitement.
